Jahmyr Gibbs has been ranked among the top 10 NFL running backs.

When NFC North NFL reporters omitted Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs from the All-NFC North team, supporters expressed their discontent on social media, especially since veteran Josh Jacobs secured the majority vote.

In a recent survey conducted among NFL executives and coaches, Gibbs was ranked as the 8th best running back in the league, placing just below Jacobs, who moved to the Green Bay Packers after his tenure with the Las Vegas Raiders.

“Change of pace. Fast. Elusive. Versatile,” an AFC executive told ESPN. “Dynamic in the pass game. Not your typical North-South runner favored in a run-heavy offense, but he can create explosive plays instantly, which is daunting in our league.”

Ben Johnson made sure the talented rookie was actively involved in the offense, even with veteran David Montgomery also on the roster. Gibbs amassed 234 touches (including 52 receptions) over 15 games. The former first-round draft pick from Detroit totaled 1,261 yards and scored 11 touchdowns.

Despite experiencing a less productive season in Las Vegas, many still have confidence in Jacobs as a valuable asset for Green Bay.

“Just a solid all-around back,” remarked an NFL offensive coach. “He’s effective in both inside and outside zone running schemes. He breaks numerous tackles at the point of contact and is seldom brought down by a single defender. While not the fastest, biggest, or strongest, he possesses excellent football instincts and consistently generates results. Additionally, he’s remarkably durable, capable of handling a heavy workload and wearing down defenses in the fourth quarter.”
