Leeds United are set to welcome back both Manor Solomon and Dan James to full team training this week ahead of a clash with Sheffield United.

Leeds United is gearing up for one of their tougher home matches this week following the international break, as they host Chris Wilder’s undefeated Sheffield United.

With the top six teams closely contested, Leeds will be aiming to build momentum in their promotion push as the winter months approach.

Leeds team news: Manor Solomon and Dan James boosts

Leeds United may be lacking depth in midfield and defense, but Daniel Farke’s attacking options seem to be returning to full strength.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, recently injured players Dan James and Manor Solomon are expected to rejoin team training this week.

James has been sidelined for over a month with a hamstring injury, last featuring in Leeds’ 2-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday, where he scored the team’s second goal.

Solomon, on the other hand, has missed the last four matches due to a back issue that eventually led to hamstring trouble.

Both players would have been involved in international duty if not for their injuries, with Solomon even being named in Israel’s squad before Leeds’ medical staff decided to hold him back at Thorp Arch.

The returns of James and Solomon are a significant boost to Leeds’ attacking depth.

With Gnonto, Aaronson, and Ramazani performing well as an attacking trio, there’s no urgency to rush either player back into the lineup this week.

However, having the full attacking unit back at full strength could provide a big advantage in terms of goal-scoring potential.

Solomon, valued at £9 million, and Leeds’ £25 million 2021 signing, James, would be starters for most Championship sides, so their return to training and near-full fitness is a major positive.

While this doesn’t address the team’s defensive concerns, it’s reassuring to have depth in key attacking positions again.
