The Arlington Renegades released wide receiver Isaiah Winstead on Thursday, as reported on the UFL Transactions page. Winstead is expected to sign with the New York Jets. The Renegades will retain his rights if he returns to the UFL in the future. Isaiah Winstead stands 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 213 pounds. The 24-year-old from Richmond, Virginia, initially signed with the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 2023, where he recorded four catches for 54 yards in two preseason games. Winstead joined the Arlington Renegades on January 20, 2024, and made 12 catches for 175 yards and two touchdowns over seven games in the 2024 season. In college, Winstead played two seasons at Norfolk State (2017-18), amassing 83 catches for 977 yards, eight touchdowns, and two tackles (one solo, one assist) in 22 games. As a sophomore, he led the Spartans in all major receiving stats with 54 catches, 633 yards, and five touchdowns. After transferring to Toledo in 2020, Isaiah Winstead played for the Rockets for two seasons, recording 63 catches for 949 yards and four touchdowns over 19 games. He was named Third Team All-MAC in 2020. In 2022, Winstead transferred to East Carolina, where he had a standout season with 88 catches for 1,085 yards and six touchdowns in 13 games.
