Graham Alexander has discussed the latest transfer rumors with Jake Young.

Stevenage and Crawley are reportedly interested in striker Jake Young, although his current club insists no formal offers have been received.

Graham Alexander mentioned over the weekend that there had been inquiries from League One clubs regarding Young. He has since met with Young to discuss his situation and ensure clarity.

Alexander stated, “I had a chat with Jake about his situation so we both have clarity. I want to maintain open communication with the players. He’s available and trained today; he hasn’t missed any sessions. We’ll see how things develop. I haven’t heard anything since Monday.”

Graham Alexander stated that he only wants essential information and doesn’t need every update relayed to him, as he is focused on the team. He mentioned that if something significant happens, he would be informed.

Alexander believes City are “two or three” players away from being complete by the transfer window’s end on August 30. He feels that the squad’s current numbers are adequate and any additions would require moving players on. Financially, he anticipates some trading before the month’s end.

Additionally, Alexander confirmed that summer signing Callum Johnson has returned to full training this week after recovering from the injury that sidelined him during pre-season.
