Miami Hurricanes has just released 2024 Spring Game Information
Miami has a new quarterback in Cam Ward, and the Canes’ spring game will be held on campus on Saturday, April 13th at 4 p.m.
The Miami Hurricanes have a big day of spring football on Saturday, April 13th. The Hurricanes will play their spring game on campus on April 13 at 4 p.m. on the ACCNX/ESPN+ streaming network. A few of Miami’s opponents in 2024 will also play on the 13th.
Cam Ward, the transfer quarterback, will make his live debut in Miami’s spring game. The format of the ‘Canes spring game has not been announced, but I would expect Mario Cristobal (12-13 at Miami) to run it similarly to the ’23 game, with a focus on offense, to get the hype machine going for the 2024 season ticket push this summer.
April 13th
The Florida Gators will play their spring game at 1pm on SECN+/ESPN+. Billy Napier has a ‘even worse than Mario Cristobal’ 11-14 record at Florida after a 40-12 record at Louisiana. Napier replaced Dan Mullen, whose final season in Gainesville saw the Gators finish 6-7.
UF will play the most difficult schedule in FBS football in ’24, facing Miami, Texas A&M, Tennessee, UGA, Texas, LSU, Ole Miss, and FSU, with four of those games on the road. Graham Mertz, a quarterback who transferred from Wisconsin, returns for another season at Florida.
The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets also play at 1 p.m. on ACCNX/ESPN+. Bent Key has the Jackets on the right track with a Gasparilla Bowl victory in ’23. GT returns QB Haynes King and replaces their defensive coordinator.
GT will also have a grueling schedule. Georgia Tech will face FSU in Ireland, as well as Louisville, UNC, Virginia Tech, and UGA on the road, while hosting Miami, NC State, and Notre Dame.
