Scott Satterfield finally announced Cincinnati football’s starting quarterback

Satterfield’s experience at Louisville and Appalachian State provides him with a solid background as he enters his second season with Cincinnati. Sorsby’s ability to extend plays and his dual-threat capabilities will be crucial for the Bearcats, especially given the challenges they faced last year and the modest expectations for the 2024 season. With Cincinnati ranked 94th by The Athletic and 14th in ClutchPoints’ Big 12 post-spring power rankings, Satterfield and Sorsby will have their work cut out for them in trying to improve the team’s standing.

Scott Satterfield certainly has a tough task ahead, trying to bring Cincinnati back to the heights they reached in 2021. With a lot of roster turnover and high expectations, the challenge will be to rebuild effectively and improve on last season’s struggles. Brendan Sorsby’s performance and the development of the offensive line will be crucial factors in this process. The Bearcats’ 2021 season was indeed memorable, and matching that level of success will be a significant test for Satterfield and his team.

A decent 9-4 season followed in 2022 before the wheels came off in 2023. In Week 1, the Bearcats’ matchup vs. Towson football won’t be a pushover; however, Cincinnati football will face a proper test when hosting the Pitts Panthers, another team searching for its identity, on Saturday, September 7 at noon EST.
