Fulham were 1-0 victors against Nottingham Forest on the weekend.

Leicester City centre-back Conor Coady was full of praise for Fulham midfielder João Palhinha following their Premier League clash, where Fulham secured their second successive victory and moved up to sixth in the table. Coady highlighted Palhinha’s influence in the game, emphasizing how the Portuguese international dominated the midfield with his physical presence, ball-winning ability, and intelligent play.

Fulham’s commanding possession—averaging 60%—and control over the match were key to their deserved three points. Palhinha’s performance was crucial to Fulham’s success, allowing Marco Silva’s side to dictate the tempo and limit Leicester City’s chances.

Conor Coady, speaking on BBC’s *Monday Night Club*, praised Fulham striker Raúl Jiménez after his match-winning performance against Nottingham Forest. Coady, who previously played alongside Jiménez at Wolves, described the Mexican forward as a “complete striker,” emphasizing his value to any team.

“I was lucky enough to play with Adama and Raul, and they have really, really hit the ground running this season,” Coady said. He also acknowledged Jiménez’s penalty in the recent game and defended the striker despite some criticism from the manager. Coady added, “What he brings to a team, I can say first hand from sharing a pitch with him… he is fantastic when he is on his game. He really is a real all-round striker.”

Marco Silva expressed his frustration with Raúl Jiménez after Fulham’s clash against Nottingham Forest, specifically criticizing Jiménez for taking a penalty that should have been handled by Andreas Pereira, the team’s designated taker. Silva made it clear that Jiménez had broken a team rule.

“It’s clearly the fault of Raúl. It is not going to happen again,” Silva said. He added that Jiménez had apologized for the mistake, stating, “He had to because he knows the rules and how important discipline is in our squad.” Silva’s comments suggest that while Jiménez’s actions were addressed, it was a disciplinary matter that he expects to be resolved moving forward.
