CRONULLA SHARKS livewire Siteni Taukamo is attracting interest from Super League clubs.

According to Fox Sports, Greek international Siteni Taukamo may be heading to the northern hemisphere, as his contract with the NRL ends after the 2024 season. In July, *League Express* reported that Super League clubs were showing interest in Taukamo, and now Fox Sports has further fueled speculation about a potential move.

At just 20 years old, Siteni Taukamo has yet to make his NRL debut for the Cronulla Sharks, but he has garnered significant attention in both hemispheres following an impressive performance for Greece in the Rugby League World Cup over a year ago. Taukamo, who captained the Sharks’ Harold Matthews Cup squad during the 2020 and 2021 seasons, signed a four-year contract with the club that runs until the end of 2024.

Capable of playing both fullback and wing, Taukamo has caught the eye of Super League clubs as his contract nears its end. At his age, he qualifies for the new RFL visa requirements, which were relaxed earlier this year to make it easier for players from Australia’s second-tier competitions to join Super League teams.

From now on, players who are aged 24 or under who have played in the NSW or Queensland Cup competitions will be able to obtain visas to play in the UK.
