McTominay has attracted interest from Fulham

Fulham have pulled back from pursuing Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay following the rejection of their £20 million bid.

Scott McTominay, who scored seven Premier League goals last season and played a key role in Manchester United’s 2-1 FA Cup final victory over Manchester City, has drawn interest from several clubs this summer. Galatasaray has previously shown interest in the 27-year-old, and Fulham made two bids to strengthen their midfield after Joao Palhinha’s move to Bayern Munich.

However, Fulham are likely to cease their pursuit after their latest £20 million offer was rejected. Manchester United value McTominay, who has made 252 appearances for the club since his debut in 2017, at £30 million.

Manchester United, who currently have central midfield options including Casemiro, Kobbie Mainoo, Mason Mount, and Christian Eriksen, have also been linked with other midfield targets this summer. They were in discussions with Paris Saint-Germain about signing Uruguay international Manuel Ugarte. However, due to PSG’s high asking price, United have decided to explore alternative targets.
