Kentucky is still in the hunt for this top-10 recruit.

When John Calipari was at Kentucky, the Wildcats were seen as the leading contender for 5-star forward Caleb Wilson. However, with Calipari’s move to Arkansas, it seemed Kentucky’s chances of landing Wilson might have diminished.

But Kentucky remains in the mix. On Tuesday, Wilson reduced his list to 12 schools, including Kentucky, as reported by On3’s Joe Tipton. Other schools still in the running are Alabama, Arkansas, Duke, North Carolina, and Tennessee. Notably, Wilson has scheduled an official visit to Kentucky for September 13th, following an official visit to Alabama on September 6th.

Caleb Wilson, a 6-foot-9, 205-pound forward from Atlanta, GA, received an offer from Kentucky in June 2023 and visited Lexington in October. Currently ranked highly across various recruiting platforms—third by On3, sixth by 247Sports, fifth by ESPN, and fourth by Rivals—Wilson expressed interest in hearing more from Kentucky after Mark Pope took over as head coach.

In May, Wilson mentioned that he was impressed by BYU’s performance under Pope, despite their lack of high-profile recruits. His interest seems to have been reciprocated, as Kentucky remains a strong contender and will host him for an official visit soon.
