The Jacksonville Jaguars have faced considerable challenges as a franchise, often finding themselves at the bottom of the league standings.

Maurice Jones-Drew predicted Jaguars wild comeback

Former running back Maurice Jones-Drew took to Twitter to correct NFL reporter Dov Kleiman’s assertion that the Jaguars have never had a player receive a single MVP vote. Jones-Drew reminded Kleiman that he himself was a finalist for the MVP award twice during his career, setting the record straight.

During his prime, Maurice Jones-Drew was among the top running backs in the NFL, earning one All-Pro selection and making three Pro Bowl appearances. Throughout his career with the Jaguars and later with the Las Vegas Raiders, he amassed 1,847 carries for 8,167 yards and 346 receptions for 2,944 yards, contributing a total of 79 touchdowns. Following his playing days, Jones-Drew transitioned to a career as an analyst for FOX Sports.

Absolutely, Maurice Jones-Drew deserves recognition as one of the most underrated running backs of his era. His talents and contributions to the game were significant, and it’s plausible that he might have received more recognition if he had played for a different team. Nevertheless, his impact on the field remains noteworthy and deserving of praise.
