CLOSE to 2,400 season cards have already been snapped up by Southend United supporters for the forthcoming National League campaign.
Season tickets became available late Friday afternoon following the consortium’s takeover of the club. Blues manager Kevin Maher is eager to show his appreciation for the fans’ support.
“I’m thrilled that the fans have taken the club to where they want it to be,” Maher said. “Their support last year was remarkable, and there’s a sign above the dugout that says ‘never give up,’ which they certainly didn’t. They’ve truly supported the club, and it belongs to them. It’s fantastic for them to see a promising future, and we aim to build a club they can be proud of.”
