Ryan Dunn has officially signed his rookie scale contract with the Suns, as reported in the NBA transactions log. As the 28th pick in the recent draft, Dunn’s first-year salary is set at $2,530,800, based on the typical 120% of the rookie scale figure provided by most teams to first-round picks. Over his first four years in the NBA, he is slated to earn a total of $12,998,353.

Rookie scale contracts like Ryan Dunn’s are guaranteed for the first two years, with team options for the third and fourth years.

Dunn, known as a defensive-minded forward, spent two seasons at Virginia before entering the NBA draft. Last season, he started in 34 games and averaged 8.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, 2.3 blocks, and 1.3 steals per game.
