Anquon Fegans joins Auburn’s 2025 class, continuing their strong recruiting momentum following Big Cat Weekend.

Charles Kelly continues his strong recruiting ties with the Fegans family. After bringing Tre’Quon Fegans to Alabama and adding Antwon Fegans to Auburn as a preferred walk-on, Kelly has now secured a commitment from Anquon Fegans for Auburn’s 2025 class.

Anquon Fegans, from Thompson High School in Alabama, is highly ranked as the No. 44 player, No. 3 safety, and No. 2 player from Alabama in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 98 player and No. 9 safety in the nation. He stands at 6-foot-1 and weighs 180 pounds.

Anquon Fegans expressed his enthusiasm about his commitment to Auburn, saying, “It feels good. There couldn’t have been any better time to do it. It’s just what Coach Freeze is building. Just how special that place can be.”

Fegans had been a target for Auburn for a long time, even during his previous commitment to USC after his older brother joined the Trojans. With Hugh Freeze’s arrival and a decommitment from USC, along with Charles Kelly joining the staff, Auburn’s pursuit of Fegans intensified over recent months.

Anquon Fegans highlighted the impact of Charles Kelly, saying, “Coach Kelly has known me since I was in the 8th grade. He coached my brother and now he coaches my other brother. That plays a big part in it.”

Fegans, who held offers from many top programs, joins Auburn’s 2025 class, which has been bolstering its ranks following Big Cat Weekend. Over the weekend, Auburn also secured commitments from Top247 cornerback Blake Woodby, flipped Top247 defensive lineman Antonio Coleman from Alabama, and added punter and Thompson teammate John Alan McGuire.

On Monday morning, Auburn added Alabama athlete commit Derick Smith to their class. With Anquon Fegans now on board as the 21st commitment, Auburn’s 2025 class is ranked No. 5 in the nation according to the 247Sports team recruiting rankings.

Fegans is focused on continuing the momentum, saying, “It’s special because now you can recruit the younger guys. You can recruit for your program and continue to make your program good.”

As he looks forward to his senior year, Fegans is enthusiastic about Auburn’s future: “Things are headed in the right direction. This year will give everybody a taste of what we’re going to do in the future. War Damn Eagle!!”
