Leeds Rhinos reveal heritage jersey as squad number update provided and decision made on pre-season games

Leeds Rhinos have unveiled their third kit for the 2025 season and provided an update on squad numbers and pre-season matches.

The heritage design, produced by equipment kit supplier OXEN, is based on the strip Rhinos wore for their most recent World Club Challenge appearance, when they lost 38-4 at Melbourne Storm in 2018. It features an amber jersey with a blue band, plus blue shorts and amber socks with a blue band.

Rhinos have yet to reveal their squad numbers for 2025, but sporting director Ian Blease said an announcement is likely to be made within the next two weeks. Blease also confirmed Rhinos will play only two pre-season games ahead of the new campaign, both at AMT Headingley.

On Boxing Day, they play Wakefield Trinity in the yearly Wetherby Whaler Festive Challenge, then on Sunday, January 26, they take on Wigan Warriors for Ash Handley’s testimonial. Blease stated that due to this season’s early Betfred Challenge Cup start, the customary warm-up matches against Bradford Bulls and Hunslet RLFC will not take place, as the Yorkshire Evening Post had previously expected.

Bulls and Hunslet are among the championship clubs that start their Cup campaign on the weekend of January 25–26. Top-flight teams enter the competition two weeks later, one week before Super League kicks off.
